DESCRIPTION:What is a business leader's moral responsibility? Bénédicte Ficq\, a prominent Dutch lawyer and climate activist\, has spent part of her career answering this question in courtrooms and through legal action. She has sued the tobacco industry for deliberately harming citizens' health. She has filed charges against Tata Steel and Chemours for pollution that damages surrounding communities. In this ELP Leadership Dialogue\, Bénédicte will challenge us to think harder about what leaders owe society beyond profit. After an opening interview\, participants will engage in dialogue with peers about how they themselves define and live out that responsibility. This is a conversation for leaders willing to sit with discomfort and ask difficult questions about the choices they make.
