DESCRIPTION:In a time when regulation grows tighter and oversight more intense\, we risk losing sight of what truly drives organizations forward: trust and genuine connection. Shouldn't leaders flip the equation\, moving from distrust and control to confidence and the courage to take intelligent risks? Excessive regulation and compliance protocols\, however well-intentioned\, can become obstacles to progress. They often cost more in human energy than they prevent in actual harm. This ELP Leadership Dialogue explores whether we can lead differently. Can leaders create environments where people speak openly about risk\, make thoughtful decisions grounded in trust\, and respond to failure with transparency rather than defensiveness? It is about leadership that serves real human needs\, not just compliance metrics. We begin with an interview featuring Monique van Dijken Eeuwijk\, a facilitator for the Trust First Initiative\, a lawyer and Supervisory Board member\, and Pieter Duisenberg\, President of the Dutch Court of Audit (Algemene Rekenkamer)\, as our keynote guests. After the plenary interview\, participants will engage in moderated dialogue.
