What happens when a young Jewish man and a young Muslim woman decide to talk, not despite their differences, but because of what they share? Join us for an ELP Leadership Dialogue with Oumaima and Boaz, founders of peace initiative Deel de Duif. What began as a social media campaign in the days after 7 October 2023 has grown into a lasting dialogue initiative. Always one Jew and one Muslim, standing together. Deel de Duif works for dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation across divides in society. In this session, Oumaima and Boaz will share what they have learned about holding difficult conversations in a genuine dialogue format. In a time when Israel-Palestine threatens to split communities, families, and organizations, their work is a rare example of interreligious bridge-building. This is an invitation to think with them about how leaders can create space for dialogue when the stakes are high and the temptation to take sides is strong. After the plenary interview with Boaz and Oumaima we will continue the dialogue at moderated roundtables.
