Sue Preenen, member of the Board of Prosecutors-General of the Netherlands Public Prosecution Service (Openbaar Ministerie), is a leader with a clear mission: to make women safer in public spaces, at work and in their personal relationships. Named Dutch Executive Female Leader of the Year 2026, she was praised by the jury as “an authentic leader who creates societal impact through conviction and personal commitment.” The jury highlighted her efforts to tackle sexual violence and improve women's safety. At the Public Prosecution Service, she has made tackling domestic violence and preventing femicide key priorities. She has also championed greater diversity in senior positions and equal pay for men and women.
