Better Leadership Through Authentic Dialogue (since 2003)

ELP is the leading platform in the Netherlands for Dialogue on leadership. At ELP, moderated Dialogue is central: leaders exchange experiences and dilemmas with peers from various sectors, disciplines and generations in a safe and constructive environment. Experienced moderators guide the process.

ELP creates a space where experienced leaders share what has worked and what has not, always within the specificity of their personal journey, organizational reality, and moment in time. These insights are not prescriptions, but invitations offered for learning, inspiration, and reflection, exposing other leaders to high-impact situations and ways to handle them, which makes them more prepared for the future. This philosophy is at the heart of ELP Leadership Dialogues.

At ELP, leaders are invited to step outside their own frame of reference and engage with diverse perspectives through Dialogue and reflection. The purpose is not to provide answers, but to deepen understanding, sharpen judgment, and strengthen leadership presence when it matters most.

ELP is:
  • An independent network of decision makers
  • In which leaders engage into moderated Dialogue with peers
  • To discuss professional dilemmas from their personal context

In unsettled times, being seen and heard becomes an act of leadership. Dialogue begins there — but asking well and listening deeply is an art. At ELP, I find that art practiced, and I meet leaders who remind me that calm, in moments of uncertainty, is not absence of action but presence of purpose.

Leadership often moves at a relentless pace, yet strong leadership also requires the willingness to slow down and reflect. ELP offers a space for conversations with peers equally curious and willing to challenge their thinking. The diversity of perspectives teaches that leadership is about understanding the broader context in which we lead.

Board Member, Vermaat Group
ELP reminds me that leadership starts with listening—really listening—before saying/judging/discussing anything at all.

Each and every time I attend an ELP event, be it online or live, I walk away with a new thought, deep self-reflection, and a sense of having nurtured my professional mind amongst a group of impressive individuals. I love the rich, diverse backgrounds of the professionals involved in ELP and the topics they bring to the table; each is relevant and 'of the moment'. Time and how we spend it is precious to all of us....I choose to spend time within ELP, and it is worth every minute of my investment.
